How can I tell whether I’m using AccountRight Classic v19 or below?

You can easily identify your AccountRight version while using your software by going to Help > About AccountRight.

Can I keep using my AccountRight Classic v19 data?

Yes, you can keep using your AccountRight data by migrating to the latest version.

To update your AccountRight file:

  1. Purchase a subscription for AccountRight Plus or Premier
  2. Install the latest version and upgrade your file
  3. Upgrade to the latest version.
What happens after 28 February 2026 if I don’t do anything?

The next time your file is prompted to confirm it will become read only. You will be able to view transactions, information, export data and run reports, however you will not be able to enter any new transactions into or adjust existing transactions in the file.

Can I downgrade my plan?

You can downgrade AccountRight Premier or Premier Enterprise. 

If you’ve used the following features, you may be restricted from moving your data to a lower plan.  

  • Negative inventory is not supported in the latest version of AccountRight. Before you move to the latest version you will need to adjust your negative inventory levels to zero.  
  • Inventory locations are not supported in the latest version of AccountRight. If you’ve used multiple inventory locations, these will be consolidated into a single location during your data transfer.  
  • Multicurrency is supported in AccountRight Premier. If you’ve used multi-currency previously, you may be restricted from moving to AccountRight Plus.

I don’t want to have my file online, what are my options?

Our latest version of AccountRight allows you to use your file offline if you choose to, however you won’t have access to online features such as browser access, and single touch payroll. Read more information about online features.

You’ll need access to the internet to install the latest version of AccountRight and to send us your backup file if you require help with your upgrade. Once your file is upgraded using the latest AccountRight version, you’ll be able to work offline.

You'll need an AcountRight subscription to upgrade to the latest version, whether you work online or offline.
